## Connect X

1. Pick **X** under **Where do you post first?** when you sign up, or press **Connect as source** next to X on the Bridge page.
2. Sign in on X's page and authorize Post Once.
3. You come back to Post Once, and it starts watching for new posts.

Post Once checks X about every minute. Only posts published after you connect are reposted on their own. Older ones are listed in [Your posts](https://postonce.com/help/your-posts) to send by hand.

## What Post Once picks up from X

- **Videos.** If a post has more than one, the first video is reposted. Videos over 3 minutes, or landscape ones, only go to destinations that take long videos. See [long videos](https://postonce.com/help/long-videos).
- **Photos.** A post with several photos reposts as a carousel where the destination takes one.

Skipped: text-only posts, replies and reposts of other people's posts.

The post text goes with each repost. Its first line, up to 100 characters, becomes the title where a destination needs one, such as YouTube.
