# Repost from Threads

> Post Once picks up each new Threads post with a video, photo or carousel and reposts it to your other accounts. Text-only threads are skipped, and Threads has no Stories to repost.

## Connect Threads

1. Pick **Threads** under **Where do you post first?** when you sign up, or press **Connect as source** next to Threads on the Bridge page.
2. Sign in on the Threads page that opens and allow access.
3. You come back to Post Once, and it starts watching for new posts.

Post Once checks Threads about every five minutes. Press **Check now** on the dashboard to look straight away. Only posts published after you connect are reposted on their own.

## What Post Once picks up from Threads

- **Videos.** Videos over 3 minutes, or landscape ones, only go to destinations that take long videos. See [long videos](https://postonce.com/help/long-videos).
- **Photos.**
- **Carousels.** The photo slides are reposted. Video slides inside a carousel are left out.

The post text goes with each repost. Its first line, up to 100 characters, becomes the title where a destination needs one, such as YouTube. Threads allows up to 500 characters, so a long thread text may be shortened on X, which allows 280. See [repost to X](https://postonce.com/help/repost-to-x).

Because Threads is your source, it is not offered as a destination in the same bridge.
