# Repeat posts held for review

> When a new post looks the same as one you posted in the last 30 days, Post Once holds it on the accounts that already have the earlier one and asks you first. Press "Post anyway" or "Skip". With no answer in 3 days, it is skipped there.

## How Post Once spots a repeat

Post Once compares each new post's picture or video with your posts from the last 30 days. When it matches one, the new post is held, but only on the accounts the earlier post already reached. Other destinations get it as normal.

## What you see

On the dashboard the post reads **Looks like a repeat of "..."**, naming the earlier post, with two buttons:

- **Post anyway** sends it to the held accounts too.
- **Skip** leaves it off them.

Hover the post to see which accounts are waiting. Each held one reads "Already posted here, waiting for your OK".

You also get an email, "Post again? This looks like a repeat", unless you turned off **Repeat posts** under **Email notifications** in Settings. See [email notifications](https://postonce.com/help/email-notifications).

## If you do nothing

After 3 days the held accounts are skipped with "Skipped, already posted here", and the post reads "Skipped as a repeat of an earlier post". **Post anyway** still works after that.

## Frequently asked questions

### Why does Post Once hold repeats?

Reposting the same video twice to the same account can look like spam to the platform and to your followers. Holding it only where the earlier post already went keeps your feeds clean without blocking new destinations.

### I skipped by mistake. Can I still post it?

Yes. Post anyway stays on the post after it is skipped, whether you skipped it or it was skipped after 3 days.

### Is a Story that reuses one of my Reels treated as a repeat?

No. Stories are never held as repeats of a Reel.
